As I wrote earlier, it is Inktober once more.
Inktober is the time of year where the fingers get black - or is that just the unique way all pens hone in on me and leave their mark just as much on me as the paper? Anyway... fingers get black as artists around the world exercise their artistic muscles over the month of October, either in freeform, or through the medium that is the Inktober prompt list.
Started in 2009 by comics short-story creator, illustrator and animated Jake Parker as a challenge to himself, Inktober has grown as millions of people pick up the prompts, and I am one of them this year.
We are at the halfway point in the 2020 challenge and boy it's been fun, even if sometimes the thinking hat has come under strain. It also hasn't helped that along with the Inktober official prompt, I have also been doing so-called 'randoms', in reality Earth-Two and Golden Age characters suggested by Facebook users, as well as the Judge Dredd-related Drokktober (as mentioned earlier).
It's been a toss-up as to what has been my favourite piece so far. Either 'Armour'. or what went up today, 'Outpost' are the front runners so far but we do have the rest of the month to go!
Although a special mention to 'Disgusting' as that was simply fun to do and 'made me larf'.
Stay tuned, as all of these will be available to buy - for £30 +P&P - and you can check out the entire Inktober work so far on my Instagram
